Our Story

From a Shared Calling to a Registered Foundation

A Shared Theological Calling

Founders Rael and Rose ("Double R") meet at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College while pursuing their theology courses, and begin serving vulnerable families together.

Foundation Formed & Registered

Service Before Self (SBS) Kenya Foundation is officially formed and registered, bringing together individuals, partners, and stakeholders passionate about sustainable, service-driven impact.

First Educational Intervention

SBS pays school fees for Sam, securing his transition to Jagiet Secondary School and marking the foundation's first direct educational intervention.

Community Relief Response

SBS mobilizes humanitarian and food-security support for vulnerable households during the COVID-19 period.

Dignity and Hope Initiative Scale-Up

SBS, through it's flagship DHI program expands into public schools such as Muchonoke Primary School, Embu County, distributing sanitary kits and mentorship to adolescent girls.
